Peace Hub Conference – Day One

The Peace Hub has been working to create our inaugural Peace Hub Conference to provide strong workshops and supportive information for youth service providers, advocates and youth.?? The conference, Impact Youth 2015: Understanding and Addressing Issues That Affect Today???s Youth, is scheduled for Friday, March 13^th and Saturday, March 14^th, 2015 at the Gary Comer Youth Center at 7200 S. Ingleside beginning at 8:30am with check in and continental breakfast each day.

We have been listening to feedback and understand that cost can be a huge barrier to professional development.?? This conference is FREE OF CHARGE and attendees will receive continental breakfast and lunch each day, with raffles and other goodies.

Day One will focus on youth service providers, advocates, etc., with presentations on Adultism, Today???s Gangs (2015), Cultural Competency, Trauma 101, Chicago???s Crime Statistics, Youth Program Quality (presented by youth), Mindfulness and others.

Day Two will focus on Youth, in addition to service providers and advocates, and will feature some of the aforementioned workshops and additional workshops presented by youth.?? Also, there will be performances by youth (spoken word, singing, etc.) that promote peace and nonviolence.?? Please bring out your youth!
